Hey PLP! We hope you all are having a great week thus far. We know its cold again and papers and tests are looming this week and in the weeks ahead, and we just want to let you know that we care about you amidst it all. If you’re stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed, please don’t hesitate to use the resource that is your PLP Staff. We’re here. Sign up for an appointment, shoot us an email, drop by and say hi. Let us know if you need help and we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction. Have a GREAT WEEK, and please note the following opportunities…BUT DON’T LET THEM STRESS YOU OUT!!!! Decide what’s important, and respond to OPTIONS based on that!

Important Opportunities and Reminders
- TONIGHT: INTERESTED IN PRE-LAW
Dean Jeffrey A. Brauch of the Regent University Law School will be speaking TONIGHT at 7:00 P.M. in the Washington Room of DSU. His talk will focus on law school and the law school application process. If you’re interested in law school, THIS IS FOR YOU! DON’T MISS IT!

- SUMMER LEADERSHIP ADVENTURE FACILITATOR APPLICATIONS
DUE THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20th!!!

- MANDATORY SPEAKER NEXT WEDNESDAY, FEB. 25th, 7-8:30pm, CONCERT HALL. Remember, it STARTS at 7:00. Which means arriving at 7 = late.

- MAKE UP SPEAKER OPPORTUNITY
TOMORROW Wednesday February 18th, 7pm in Ferguson STUDIO THEATER
Cab presents… “SOVLING IMMIGRATION: The truth is out there”—a film by Mike Shiley. HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION? Discussion will follow. Counts as a make up speaker with submitted notes or short paper from discussion.

- THE CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA
Tuesday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. -- The Cleveland Orchestra
IMPORTANT! We are holding 50 seats for our Leadership students and to guarantee that you get a ticket you must RSVP to the Leadership Office
(594-7207) no later than Friday, February 20, 2009.

PHONE IN OR EMAIL YOUR RSVP to 594-7207 or preslead@cnu.edu with your name, phone number, email, number of tickets (1 or 2) and guest’s name (if applicable).

Each PLP student may reserve two (2) tickets to this concert. Once you have phoned in your RSVP, your tickets will be available for pick up at the will-call window just outside the Concert Hall ninety (90) minutes before show time on March 3rd. Attire for the evening will be coat and tie for gentlemen and dresses or suits for ladies. Please remember that you must bring your student ID to the will-call window to pick up your tickets.

- DR. COLVIN ON WCNU RADIO!?! COOL BEANS!
This Thursday February 19 from 8 to 10pm, Dr. Colvin from the Leadership and American Studies Dept. will be on PLP's own Chris Schulz and Steve Myers WCNU radio show What's the Deal to discuss important and entertaining issues facing all leadership students. Be a part of this magical night by calling the station and asking Dr.

- NEED SERVICE? WANT TO PROCTOR GAME NIGHT?
What time is it? Game Night time!!! If you are interested in getting volunteer hours and playing some pretty cool games with pretty cool PLP prospectives at the same time then sign up to proctor at Game Night!

- ***SENIORS!!! Have some pictures you want displayed in the Senior Celebration Slideshow?? Please bring me a CD with NO MORE than 10 selected pictures to be reviewed for slideshow usage. Thanks!!!

OSRC nominations forms are available in the PLP office! Electronic copies are also available! Nominate a senior who deserves a little something extra for how much they have impacted the PLP and your experience! With your help, three outstanding seniors will be recognized!

CNU’s Photography Club is having a fundraiser THIS THURSDAY, FEB 19th at SCHOONERS from 4 – 8:30pm. COME OUT AND EAT.

Also, please save your appetite to support Habitat for Humanity via PLP’s Spring Break Trip AT CHEESBURGER IN PARADISE on MONDAY, MARCH 2nd!
You can purchase a ticket for $10 that will allow you to choose from a list of entrĂ©e options. 60% of the proceeds will go towards PLP’s Spring Break Trip to serve Habitat for Humanity. PLUS, the PLP Staff will be there…use it as an excuse to eat out AND hang out with us!

- PLP LASERTAG!!! AHHHHHH!
The PLP Council has initiated a lastertag opportunity challenge to PLP students. The challenge: COME.
Saturday, February 21st, 8:00pm. $21 for 3 games @ Kiln Creek Lasertag. Be there.
