THE VARIETY SHOW IS COMING - "PLP LIVE"

Sound Check/Check-In at 8:15
Sing and dance into the new semester by showing off your best talent at the Spring semester PLP Prospective Variety Show! Whatever you are good at we want to see...keep it appropriate please...singing, dancing, comedy, poetry reading, unicycling, balloon animal making, etc. Show it off on February 6!

- a description of your talent
- length(5 minutes max)
- materials needed(stools, mics, mic stands, music podium, piano, etc.)

What time is it? Game Night time!!! If you are interested in getting volunteer hours and playing some pretty cool games with pretty cool PLP prospectives at the same time then sign up to proctor at Game Night!

PLUS enjoy some refreshments and say hello to the staff!

WELCOME BACK PLP!!!
We hope you all enjoyed the holidays and had a wonderful break! Please forgive our delay in getting out this welcome back email, but as you know, our staff has been undergoing some MAJOR changes, and we ask that you would duly note the following:
*REQUIREMENTS!!!!
- Service Hours! 12.5 of them. And at least FOUR in the local or OFF CAMPUS community.
- Speakers! Attend them all!
WRITE THEM DOWN!
February 25th: John Stegeman, President & CEO,
March 19th: Dr. Mark Arnold, Founder & President, Charter Resource Group
April ? – There WILL be one. Stay tuned. We WILL let you know.
ALL speakers will begin at 7pm in the Concert Hall (that means be there BEFORE 7:00 in BUSINESS ATTIRE)
*If you have an EXCUSED absence – make it up by watching in the office or submitting notes from a makeup speaker.
*If you miss a speaker and are UNEXCUSED, you must attend a make-up and submit a ONE PAGE PAPER. Note the difference. Be excused or be at the speakers!
- Workshops! Sophomores, juniors, seniors…SIGN UP NOW! AND ATTEND THEM!
SEE ATTACHED FORM IN THE EMAIL TO SIGN UP!
*If you miss a workshop you must make it up by attending a make up and submitting a paper. Moral of the story – don’t miss your workshops : )
- Get involved! REMEMBER, involvement is a requirement! You must be involved in a recognized CNU campus club or organization. Don’t ask why it’s required, consider this reminder as sufficient evidence that it should be. Get involved—it’s required, AND FUN.
*In fact, we are SO passionate about involvement, that PLP has opportunities of its own!!! Be on the lookout for some of these ways to get involved IN and THROUGH PLP: PLP Council, iNSPIRE TEAM, Social Planning Team (SPiT), CSI (Community Service Initiative), Hosting overnights, (ULR) Undergraduate Leadership Review, AND MORE!!!
- GRADES! Yes, these are a requirement too. Keep them up. It’s worth it. And…it’s good for you.
- EVENTS!!!! Don’t forget about the FUN STUFF! Please note the following…and COME!

ALSO PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Due to the changes in PLP staffing, we request that all meetings with staff members be made BY APPOINTMENT. Each staff member will have an appointment sign up sheet on their door. Please sign up for a meeting time and we will look forward to seeing you then. We still love you and want to see you! But please, please respect this new policy. Thank you!
