We just received word from our friends over at Hampton Parks and Recreation (you know - from Leadership Adventure) that they are looking for one of our outstanding students to fill an intern/part time position. Intern/Part Time Position: Research Assistant
- A majority of the work would be focused in the following areas:
- Researching Parks & Recreation projects and historical information.
- Data collection & analysis
- Internet research
- Technical writing
- Well-developed computer skills
- Highly knowledgeable of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs.
- Administrative functions
- The ability to work with upper level management to develop the ideas and programs for a major City department.
- Assistance in historical research
- Assistance in special event coordination
- Administrative tasks related to the coordination of events.
- Preferred, but not required, experience in Photoshop.
- Preferred, but not required, experience writing press releases.
- Must be flexible, have the ability to multi-task, and be self motivated.
- Must have a great sense of humor and enjoy working in a relaxed environment.
